LOOK: Beginning June 01, 2020, when the National Capital Region (NCR) was placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ), all 4 rail lines of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) resumed operations with limited capacity while strictly implementing social distancing, as well as health and sanitary measures in adherence to the IATF guidelines, and following the partial, gradual and calibrated approach.

 
For the period from June 1 to December 31, 2020, the rail lines have a RIDERSHIP of 39,606,754 broken down as follows:
 
LRT-1- 18,844,210
LRT-2 – 4,927,760
MRT-3 – 13,140,789
PNR – 2,693,995
 
On the other hand, for January 1 to 10, 2021, the rail lines have a RIDERSHIP of 2,794,101 broken down as follows:
 
LRT-1 – 1,252,322
LRT-2 – 264,625
MRT-3 – 1,136,027
PNR – 141,127
 
Overall, from June 1, 2020 to January 10, 2021, TOTAL RIDERSHIP of the rail lines is at 42,400,855. 
 
Please note that MECQ was enforced in Metro Manila (no railway operations) from August 4 -18 and that MRT-3 temporarily suspended operations from July 7-12.
 
*Total number of running trains:
LRT-1: 24 train sets peak hours, 18 train sets during off-peak hours.
LRT-2: 5 train sets
MRT-3: 20 train sets on average, highest fielded trains 22 trains.
PNR: 10 train sets
