The Department of Transportation (DOTr), under the visionary headship of Secretary Art Tugade, is fully committed to swiftly realize all the much-needed transport infrastructure projects for the country, for the long-term benefit, comfort, and convenience of the Filipino people.
Hence, it has been unwavering in monitoring and inspecting the progress of each project, to ensure that objectives are being attained, and the pace of the project remains on track.
One of these is the much-awaited PNR Clark Phase 1 (Tutuban-Malolos), which forms part of the massive North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Project. Now, it stands at 48% overall progress rate.
Once fully operational, this segment, that will connect Tutuban, Manila to Malolos, Bulacan, will trim down travel time to just 35 minutes, from the current one (1) hour and 30 minutes by land. The rail line is slated to serve 300,000 passengers daily.
FINALLY, after the project has been conceptualized in the 1990s and shelved for long years, WE FILIPINOS ARE SEEING REAL PROGRESS for the rail line, as its construction continues to be accelerated.
THIS IS “PAGBABAGO NA RAMDAM.”
