The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), an attached agency of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) will celebrate its 120th Founding Anniversary tomorrow, 15 October 2021.
With a modernized fleet and assets as well as a beefed-up and disciplined roster, the PCG is always ready to defend and guard the country’s maritime assets and borders amidst the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic.
And its prominence and visibility nowadays, especially during calamities and state of emergencies, are made possible under the strong-willed leadership of Secretary Art Tugade and devout authority of PCG Commandant, CG Vice Admiral Leopoldo V Laroya.
In its 120th year, your modern PCG is an organization of (P) – patriotic, (C) – compassionate, and (G) – God-fearing public servants of the Philippines, committed to deliver its vision and mission of genuine public service, most especially in disaster management and in the protection and safeguarding of our borders.
