The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has kicked off the first ber-month through its monthly office-wide flag raising ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by CAAP officials and employees from its Central Office, as well as Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime J. Bautista. During the ceremony, Secretary Bautista took the stage to thank CAAP for its hospitality in accommodating him for the last two months as the DOTr looks for a permanent office space in NCR. Secretary Bautista also shared the challenges of taking a leadership role at a hot-seat government office and how he has strived to learn how government works.
Meanwhile, CAAP Acting Director General Captain Manuel Antonio “Skee” Tamayo also delivered a message to brief the CAAP community on what's to come for the new month as well as to thank CAAP employees for their resilience and hard work despite the recent natural calamities.
CAAP's Central Office is located in Old MIA Road in Pasay City. The Authority operates air navigation facilities and 77 provincial airports around the country, of which, 42 are operating commercially.
